General Information
We at Art of Patents will do our best to ship your order to you as soon as possible, but any order may be delayed by circumstances beyond our control such as (but not limited to), passage through customs, acts of nature and delivery service anomalies. While we may provide expected delivery dates, these dates are based on routine transportation of goods. As a result, any dates provided are estimates only and are not to be taken as exact delivery dates. For updated shipping information concerning your order, please login to your account and check for amended details.
Shipping Options
All shipping options and prices are based primarily upon the weight and dimensions of the products ordered, along with the geographical location of the customer. While Art of Patents will automatically select a shipping option for you, in the case of multiple options, you can select whichever shipping method best suits your requirements. Please do not request shipping options that are not available.
Turn Around Times
Orders are responded to by Art of Patents within 48 hours. As a result, it can take that long before order information is updated and an order is shipped (assuming the products are in stock).
Backordered Products
Any order that contains backordered products will only be shipped when all products have arrived and are ready to be shipped to the customer. In most circumstances, backordered products usually only require up to two weeks to arrive at our location before they are shipped to the customer. In the case of products that are expected to take longer than two weeks to arrive at our location, the details of the order will be updated to reflect the new expected arrival information. If you wish to change your order information due to backordered products, you must provide the order number along with the details of your adjustment in an email sent to orders@artofpatents.com. Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for us to respond to any order changes.
Incorrect Address
If an incorrect address is provided by the customer before an order has been sent, corrections can be made by sending the order number along with the corrected address to orders@artofpatents.com without any penalties incurred by the customer. Please note that since it can take up to 24 hours for us to respond to any order changes, it is imperative that a corrected address be sent to Art of Patents as soon as possible, or the order may be mistakenly shipped to the incorrect address at the customers expense.
If an order is returned to Art of Patents due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, the customer can either cancel the order and receive a refund less the initial cost of shipping plus the cost of returning the order, or the customer can have the order shipped again paying the additional cost of shipping the order for a second time, plus the cost of returning the order.
If an order is returned to Art of Patents due to non-delivery by the shipping company as a result of address irregularities (e.g. difficulty in finding the address), then the customer will automatically receive a refund minus any shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee which applies to the cost of the products only.
If an order is returned to Art of Patents due to an error made on our part concerning the address, then the customer can either cancel the order and receive a full refund, or wait to have the order reshipped at no cost to the customer.
Order Cancellation
Any order may be cancelled by the customer at any time without any penalties being incurred as long as the order has not been shipped. Any order that has been shipped before being cancelled can be returned with a refund minus any shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee which applies to the cost of the products only. Please note that since it can take up to 24 hours for us to respond to any order changes, it is strongly recommended that you cancel your order by sending an email to orders@artofpatents.com as soon as possible, or you risk the possibility of the order being shipped before it can be canceled. When canceling an order, please include the order number, and if possible, the reason for the cancellation to help us better adjust our policies.
Delivery Refusal
If an order is refused delivery by the customer, then the customer will automatically receive a refund minus any shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee which applies to the cost of the products only.
Damaged Products
If an order is damaged in transit, a full refund will be provided to the customer after the damaged order has been sent back to Art of Patents for verification. The cost of sending the order back to Art of Patents will also be refunded to the customer after verification of the damaged order. If the customer prefers a replacement then a new order will be shipped (based on stock levels) to the customer at no additional cost after the damaged order has been returned.
Any product within an order that is defective can be returned by the customer for a refund or replacement after verification of the defective product by Art of Patents. Once the defective product has been verified, the shipping cost of sending the product back will be refunded to the customer.
Please note that you must notify us within 48 hours of any damaged order or defective product.
Returning an Order
To return an order please send an email to orders@artofpatents.com and include the order number along with any details to receive a return number and the address to send the return to. Please note that the cost of returning the order is the customer`s responsibility but will be refunded if the circumstances are reasonable. These circumstances should be included in the initial details sent to Art of Patents. If the products returned are unopened than a refund minus any shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee (applicable to the products only) will be made to the customer. Please note that opened or used products cannot be returned.
International Orders
All orders shipped internationally may be subject to customs fees and import duties of the country to which your order has been shipped. As a result, any fees or duties levied will be the responsibility of the recipient of that order. Since customs policies vary from country to country, it is the buyer`s responsibility to understand these policies and the associated costs in regards to their order. Art of Patents has no control over these policies or costs and cannot waive any additional costs associated with them.
Downloadable (digital) Files
Certain products are for download only and as such payment cannot be reimbursed once the customer has successfully download the product at least once.
